National security is rooted in two components; nationhood and security. The lecture focuses on the national level of Israel’s approach to national security, on our essence as the Jewish people who have returned to their land, and Zionism, and the inherent challenges in trying to imprint our identity in our national home in Eretz Yisrael. We will, in addition, discuss the nation’s borders in light of the long-term security situation, and in particular the Jordan Valley and control of Judea and Samaria.
