Following media reports of a looming agreement between the US and Iran on the terms of the deal, the IDSF sent a letter to the President, asking him as “a lifelong true friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel”, to honor his administration’s pledge never to allow the Iranian regime to obtain nuclear weapons. Warning of a regional nuclear arms race, of a windfall of funds to Iranian terror and a threat to global stability, the Israeli generals urged the use of crippling sanctions and readiness to use force against Iran instead.
