Common Questions

You ask - we answered

The IDSF movement was founded by senior members of the security forces whose core beliefs are common to most Israelis; that Israel’s security must be based on its ability to protect itself, by itself, while actively preventing threats from developing.

Our vision includes the establishment of a Zionist, security-based institution whose aim is to ensure that Israel’s safety is always a national priority, in order to ensure the freedom and sovereignty of the Jewish people in their homeland, for future generations. In order to fulfill this vision, we are building a diverse movement, led by senior commanders from all branches of the armed forces, which will work to keep Israeli policy focused on security.

Our movement is funded with the aid of generous donations from around the world.  People of all faiths who believe that Israel has a right to national security and is the eternal homeland of the Jewish people.   You too can contribute and strengthen Israel’s security – click here to make a tax-exempt donation today.

The movement is apolitical, and refraining from taking a political stance is among its founding principles. The movement strives to remove the security forces from the political discourse once and for all. The IDSF is open to all those who believe in its principles, and you can join by simply clicking here.

The IDSF is non-hierarchical, and everyone is welcome to join. Most of the founders and leader are former high-ranking officers from the security forces, however everyone is invited to join.  Israelis are encouraged to join our grassroots movement in Israel – click here to join on our Hebrew site.  Everyone else is invited to join our international community of supporters and followers. The movement’s core principles can be found here. In short, the movement’s core principle is that the importance for Israel to maintain its security, stands above all.

  • Social: Promoting awareness of security and national resilience within Israeli society.
  • Education: Recruiting the younger generation in the pre-army programs and universities to adopt a security-based approach.

No.

We do not support the two state solution due to three central points:

  1. The creation of Palestinian state in Judea & Samaria would be a threat to Israel’s national security.
  2. The traditional understanding of the two-state solution clashes with the Israeli national vision, national security needs and the ability to ensure Israel’s existence long-term.
  3. Above all else, Judea and Samaria, and especially Jerusalem, are the heart of why the Jewish people returned to our homeland, which is supported by international law.  Without them, the Jewish people can not survive. The ties between the Nation of Israel and their land are beyond description.

Of course; there are several, including:

The Palestinian Emirates solution: The establishment of eight emirates throughout Judea, Samaria and Gaza, based on city-states controlled by local hamulot (clans).

The Palestinian-Jordanian Confederacy solution: The establishment of a Palestinian-Jordanian confederation or federation between the Kingdom of Jordan and the areas of Judea and Samaria with concentrated Palestinian populations.

The New State solution: The establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian State, alongside the State of Israel in Gaza, with a territorial extension into northern Sinai.

Deal of the Century: A realistic two-state solution in which a safe, prosperous Palestinian State exists peacefully alongside a safe, prosperous State of Israel in a safe, prosperous region.
