One of the significant activities undertaken by IDSF is in the field of policy and advocacy. Our goal is the implementation of strategic policy informed by a relevant, up-to-date approach to national security.
We have our finger on the pulse of all aspects of Israeli security and government related policy and we keep close tabs on the activities of various government elements through open-source research, parliamentary questions, and maintaining contacts with other organizations.
Our findings and approach are regularly presented to a range of influential people and policy makers, both in Israel and abroad. This takes the form of official position papers or in-person meetings, allowing us to share security experience, study results, and facts emerging on the ground. In addition, we hold workshops and meetings with diplomats and politicians from around the world, in order to provide them with access to both relevant information and to generate cooperation.
OUR WORK WITH POLICY MAKERS
We are in constant contact with a range of influential people and organizations who are responsible for determining Israeli policy. Whether government or Knesset members, senior members of the security forces or international organizations like the UN, we are here to provide them with our approach to national security.
