Dr. Shani Caspi, a GP from Kibbutz Magen, locked herself and her children in the safety room when the missile firing began, there they remained until one of the kibbutz security team members knocked on her front door requesting medical assistance for the wounded. Dr. Caspi tended to a hand wound of Nadav Rot, a security team member, who was conscious and mentioned that there are two other wounded in worse condition. Dr. Caspi hurried to tend to them and determined that they must be evacuated to a hospital immediately. One of the two was Baruch Cohen, the head of the kibbutz routine security, and the other was Avi Fleischer, a member of the security team. Dr. Cohan and her partner decided to evacuated the wounded themselves in a private car. They drove at 180 kilometers per hour (111 miles per hour) to Kibbutz Revivim, with three wounded in the car, which were collected by an ambulance and later evacuated by helicopter to the hospital. Sadly, Avi Fleischer did not survive, may he rest in peace.
