The navy’s Snapir seals destroys terrorist speedboats and neutralize armed swimmers and divers attempting to infiltrate Israel from the Gaza Strip by sea.

When the war broke out on October 7, 2023, the IDF Snapir unit, Israel’s navy seals, acted to thwart the entry of terrorists into Israel by sea. On October 24, 2023, Snapir fighters identified terrorist boats and neutralized them in the water. Some of the terrorists survived the bombing of the boats and attempted to swim to shore. The Snapir fighters pursued the terrorists at sea, opening fire on them, ultimately eliminating the terrorists who managed to reach the shore too.
