Tali Hadad, a civilian mother, goes into the fire to rescue her son and others

Tali Hadad, a 48-yar-old mother of six from the southern city of Ofakim, heard the terrorists

firing on Saturday morning and encouraged her son to take his firearm and go out to try to

save lives. When she realized that no rescue forces are available, she followed him to the

fighting to try to rescue the wounded. The first wounded person she encountered was her

own son, whom she evacuated and then with remarkable courage, proceeded to rescue and

evacuate another 13 wounded to the municipal emergency clinic, driving into the scene of

the fighting under live fire over and over again. After she evacuated the wounded, she

arrived at the hospital to be with her wounded son.
