Company Sergeant Major Munir: “We are one people. This is the only country we have.”

On the morning of October 7, 2023, when Company Sergeant Major Munir, a tracker from the Gaza Division, received news of the armed Hamas terrorist incursion into the Re’im base, he set out with his three sons. “I taught them that everybody must enlist for the state. We are one people, all the different sectors, and we are fighting shoulder to shoulder.” The battle in Camp Re’im lasted 13 long hours, and numerous soldiers, kibbutz residents and partiers were murdered before the IDF managed to regain control of the area. “On behalf of the entire Bedouin community, we extend our condolences to the bereaved families and stand with them,” Company Sergeant Major Munir declared. “We are one people and nothing can come between us. I love this land of ours and we will spare no effort to ensure that all citizens can sleep in peace. This is the only country we have.”
